New Title Abstract Donated

The Hancock County Historical Society donated the below Land Title Abstract to GSMC yesterday. Society President Michael Kester identified the Abstract as a Marion County land document,
and not part of the HCHS collection focus.
Michael made a special trip to our library to present the document. Many thanks, Mr. Kester!
Now, who wants to digitize a 70-page title abstract, either in our library or in your home office?
Contact any of the GSMC officers.
We really need to add this great resource to our Abstract Collection!

New Baptist Church Resources Added

GSMC just quadrupled our online Baptist Church resources,
but we have several additional physical books and files in our library.
We are always looking to increase our church collection.
Do you have a history to donate or a history we can scan?
Now is the time to let us know; our clientele will be glad to see it.
Thanks.

These are in the Members Resources Set One.

Western Electric Directories Added Today

We added five interesting Western Electric telephone directories to our Organizations Section today. The years are 1956, 1958, 1959, 1960, and 1966, and each one is about 60 pages.
If you remember the massive plant along Shadeland Ave. on the eastside, you know a lot of folks worked there over the years.
Many employees probably started around WW2 and didn't retire until the 1990's.
These directories would have been right in the middle of their employment term.
Any of your folks in here?

In addition to these alphabetical listings, there were departmental and other special listings, too.

New WW2 Resource

We just added this great WW2 resource to our GSMC library collection.
We can place your Army guy (or gal) all over the world from 1939 to 1946 in 620-pages!
Be sure to attend our Military Workshop in November to take your research to the next level.
