Graphics-Rich Railroad Book

There is lots of Indianapolis history for railroad nuts in this book
and just as much for regular history and genealogy nuts.
Sit down in our library, page through it, and see if we're telling it like it is.

Involuntary Immigration

We just added this book about indentured servitude in early America.
Perhaps some of your folks came here against their will;
shipped by the British government to get rid of them.
The Bibliography and Index alone are worth checking it out.

GSMC In IndyStar

GSMC President Barbara Cline Hutchinson added the
following news item to yesterday's Board Report.
Domenica interviewed four of our members (she also talked to Judy Jones),
so [hopefully!] this will be a great PR feature for our Society.
Keep your eyes peeled if you subscribe to the Star.

Central State Cemetery Burials

On Wednesday GSMC will be working seriously

on the best burial list for the cemetery at the Central State Hospital site.

We have 200+ burials left to add to our website.

If you can spare some time, we would like to get this genealogy resource completed.

See you there between 11 and 3. Thanks.

that we just added to our library.
Did you know the state was divided up like that?

Finding New IHS Material

New Marion County genealogy resources are happening all the time,
but finding items is often a chore.
The Indiana Historical Society features a full page of new acquisitions
in the back of their periodical INPerspective.
If you are an IHS member, you get this magazine regularly.
If you are not a member, many Indiana public libraries are subscribers.
Here are four Marion County resources from a recent issue.
