Genealogies Growing

Our genealogies section outgrew the place where we had it,
so we had to clear a larger shelf location [see below].

We moved the collection, improved it a bit, and reopened for business.
Take a look on our website for your surnames or just drop by and browse.

Much Better!!

Newest Life Member...Yay!

Judith Baumgarner of Eugene, OR, recently changed

her longtime yearly membership to a Lifetime Subscription.

Thanks, Judi, for this upgrade and we hope we can meet your expectations.
Our Supporting Members are critical to our all-volunteer society.
As an example, in 2024 just our internet service cost us $1,383,
and all of that was covered by memberships and donations.
Wish us luck as we charge into the future and add many more Marion County resources.

Notified Our Last Angel...

Sometimes chasing down busy folks takes a little work.
Wednesday we finally stopped Barry Browning of Perry Township
long enough to recognize him as a 2024 GSMC Genealogy Angel.
Barry has been a mainstay of the Perry Township Historical Society for many a year,
along with numerous other activities.
Thanks, Barry, from all of us in the local genealogical community!
