We are making a point of loading Commencement Programs. 

Remember, publishing deadlines for yearbooks are normally October of the previous year. Commencement lists are a week before the graduation date. 

The two lists are rarely the same.

 

Looking Ahead: Public Domain Day 2025

 Public Domain Day January 1, 1929 to January 1, 2025, is upon us! 

This includes treasures from 1929 like Hemingway's A Farewell to Arms, 

Faulkner's The Sound and the Fury, 

early Marx Brothers films, and much more.

Which genealogy resources will be Public Domain on January 1st?

First Families Sharon McKeen

GSMC and President Barbara Cline Hutchinson were very pleased to welcome our newest First Families member, Sharon McKeen.

Sharon from Bloomington proved her ancestors Willis Arnold, John Green Arnold, 

and Martha Jan Smith were Marion County residents by the 1850 limit date.

Maybe you should visit New York harbor while it's still there!!
